      The Canoe Outpost is located right on the banks of the Peace River just two miles west of Arcadia off State Road 70, right behind the Arcadia Peace River Campground. Just 1 hour from Sarasota, less than 2 hours from Tampa/St. Pete, 2 hours from Orlando, and about 3 hours from Miami/ Ft. Lauderdale, the Outpost is easily reached by all. Canoe Outpost-Peace River offers leisure, scenic relaxing paddle trips on Florida’s most popular State Paddle Trail. Experience wildlife viewing, birding, fishing, picnicking, swimming, camping, hiking, fossil hunting, and of course, canoeing and kayaking. Pet and kid friendly and fun and relaxation can be found for all ages. Wilderness half-day, full-day, or overnight camping trips are available. Open year ‘round, 7 days a week. Specials, discounts, and other services are available. Groups of all sizes welcome. Open since 1969, Canoe Outpost-Peace River is Florida's oldest and largest canoe outfitter. Be a Peace Paddler!
