Dr. Greg Shain is pleased to offer emergency dental visits for patients in the Apple Valley community. Dr. Greg Shain has extensive dental experience, having offered superior dental care in San Diego County for fourteen years before coming to serve the patients of San Bernardino County in 2010. Dr. Shain received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Johannesburg Oral and Dental Hospital, based in South Africa, in 1972. A school accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA), The California Dental Association (CDA) and California Board of Dental Examiners because of its high standards. His studies in South Africa qualified Dr Shain to take the California State Board Exams upon his arrival in the United States in 1985. He prepared for the exams under the tutelage of Luke Iwata, D.D.S. At the time Dr. Iwata was the head of the International Student Exchange Program at Loma Linda University. With Dr. Iwatas help, Dr. Shain not only passed the exams on his first attempt, but he did so in the top tenth percentile. In 2010 Dr. Shain bought a well-established dental practice when its founder, Dr. Sandoval, retired. Dr. Sandoval had spent much time contemplating and choosing a qualified, patient-oriented dentist for his patients, and was extremely confident with his decision to select Dr. Shain. Much to the compliment of Dr. Shain, many of Dr. Sandoval's family members and friends have continued to see Dr. Shain for their dental needs. Dr. Shains degree, certificates and continuing education courses enable him to provide the highest caliber of care. Some of the procedures that Dr. Shain is qualified to perform include; general and cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, orthodontics, dental implants, and dentures.
