0On or around August 30, 2011, Mr. Roy Goodson or one of his employed funeral directors, called our company and engaged us to assist them. They had a customer, James Copeland, who died in Columbus, Ohio and they contracted us to prepare and transfer the person to their funeral home. This is a frequent occurrence in the funeral industry and is often done with no signed contracts. Our funeral home completed all of the tasks requested of Goodson Funeral Home in Anniston, Alabama and billed them $1479.25 for our services. Mr Goodson agreed to these charges. We have sent several past due notices to him and he has ignored them. I have personally called him twice and spoken to him. On both occassions, he assures me he will send a check. It is now apparent that he has no intention of paying us.
I wish to file a formal complaint with your organization and seek your assitance in resolving this matter.

- Goodson Funeral Home is an establishment that is Christ-centered. Jesus Christ is the Author and Finisher of the faith of our owners, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Goodson. Our funeral home is a full-time facility that answers calls 24-hours a day. We are located in the historical downtown district of Anniston, Alabama. We were blessed by the Lord to open this beautiful facility on September 27, 2003. Our history is brief but productive. In a little more than a year, God has allowed us to provide eloquent, sacred, and professional services to over fifty special families ( with several families requesting our services more than once ). The families we served, have not only experience the depth of our concerns, but also the reality of our love towards them during the loss of their loved ones. What makes Goodson Funeral Home unique is that we believe that without God we are nothing, but with Christ we can do all things. Service is not just another word that is mentioned, but rather the very focus of our service. We offer various products and funeral rites which gives you a wide range to chose from in a price range that is affordable. Our directors are licensed by the State of Alabama and certified by the Commissioner of Insurance to offer Pre-Planned Service to the public. Our pre-need program gives you a choice in securing tomorrow by planning today. Any individual can begin preparing their own ( or relative ) service from type of casket, what church, and which cemetery. And be reminded that all Pre-Planned services are placed in a trust until the time of need arises.
