We were told our 2 sons had several cavities, which may not have been a big deal except for the fact that the dentist said one had 5 and the other had 7. Our kids are very good about brushing and flossing, and we eat very healthy as a family, so they rarely have sugar/sweets and don't even like soda. I took them to another dentist but didn't mention the cavities. He said everything looked in tip top shape. When I brought up the cavities he looked surprised. This was a year ago, and the boys have never had any issues from those supposed (cavities) we were told they had at Ankeny Family Dentistry. On another note: During the time our kids were patients there, the office staff acted like telemarketers bombarding us with repeated phone calls and sending postcards about coming back for another visit. It was just a bit over the top. I would not recommend this business.

I have gone to the dentist every six months for 30 years now. I have never had a filling/cavity through those years. I went to Advanced Family Dentistry upon moving to Ankeny. They decided I needed 5 fillings and suggested orthodontics. I was very shocked and of course questioned it to myself. I did not return for my fillings as nothing in my mouth was bothering me. Instead I selected a different dentist in town to either confirm AFD's new findings or deny them. I went to the new dentist to hear the same thing I had for the past 30 years. I required NO fillings or work. Was actually told I was way to easy of a patient. Very disappointed in Advanced Family Dentistry. Would not recommend.

Not being a fan of going to the dentist, I was very pleased to be in and out in about a half hour. I only had to wait in the waiting room long enough to fill out my info. Dental assistant Michele was very friendly and gently while cleaning, just felt like getting my teeth brushed. Final check by Dr. Yegge was just as friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this dental office. In and out, no pain and very friendly staff.

I’ve been attending Advanced Family Dentistry in Ankeny for over 20 years. My experience with Dr Brandt and his staff has been professional and competent. My children also use Advanced Family Dentistry even my son-in-law, there primary dentist is Dr Yegge and they have the same opinion, professional and competent. The facility is beautiful and they offer state of the art technology.

I've always found this practice to be wonderfully caring and competent. I would bring any of my family members and friends here. Dr. Brandt is the best dentist I have ever known, and has a great sense of humor to boot!

Advanced Family Dentistry lives up to its name in all respects. Their state-of-the-art facility and family-friendly atmosphere provides the perfect backdrop for first class dental care. As a Soldier of 31 years, and having lived in 3 countries and 13 states, Advanced Family Dentistry provided me and family with the best dental care I have ever experienced. Suffering from sports related injuries to my teeth, Dr. Yegge, Dr. Stewart, and the entire staff of professionals went to great lengths to give me emergency dental care and immediate relief on two seperate occassions in the past 3 years. In both instances, my situation with military moves overseas required quick and effective treatments. Their flexibilty and concern for my well-being exceeded my expectations and they gave me a great smile while keeping me physically able to perform my duties. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants first-rate professional dental care.

Went to Advanced Family Dentistry a couple months ago for a crown. They have a machine there that makes it in one visit, but it ended up taking close to 4 hours between the doctor, I believe it was Yegge, constantly embarrassing his assistant (who I thought was doing fine) by attacking her about which way his tools were being handed to him-- and the doctor leaving the room THREE times to answer phone calls. Once he even set down his drill to answer a call from his wife. I can understand if this is an emergency-- but honestly, put your cell phone away. Highly unprofessional and I took my business elsewhere. I hope the doctor can learn to appreciate his employees and take the phone off his ear soon.

Advanced Family Dentistry is the most beautiful office I have ever stepped foot in. The entryway fountain and warm d�cor is so calming. I love to reline in the comfortable dental chairs with my headphones, provided by the staff, and watch TV while I have my teeth fixed. The staff members are the most caring and friendly people I have ever met in a medical office setting, they even remember my dogs name and ask about him at every visit!

After a car accident years ago that left my mouth mangled I've had to have more than my share of dental work. I've been to many Dentists in Iowa and Colorado and Advanced Family Dentistry is the best dental practice I've ever been to....by far. Right now I travel 120 miles from where I live for my appointments. Since they built the new office, it's more like walking in a comfortable lodge than a sterile dental practice...Very warm and inviting and usually there is a fire going in the fireplace. You can even watch TV while laying back and getting your dental work done. The Dentists are top notch and explain procedures and issues clearly and the work they do is excellent and with a soft touch. The staff is excellent and very friendly. Can't say enough good about AFD and recommend them to all my friends.
