Brown Jug supports numerous community programs, including the Anchorage Neighborhood Housing Association, Anchorage Responsible Beverage Retailers Association, Brother Francis Shelter, Catholic Social Services, Covenant House, Community Patrols, Eagle River Nature Center, Homeward Bound, Intervention Helpline, Mother Lawrence Food for the Needy and Reclaiming Futures. Its employees are trained to refuse the sale of alcohol to known public inebriates and anyone else whom they believe may harm themselves by using alcohol. Brown Jug also provides clean-up crews to police beverage-related refuse problems in Alaska.
