Reliable Transmission Rebuilding has been in business for 15 years. Reliable Transmission specializes in rebuilding transmissions, differentials and transfer cases for most auto and truck makes. I’m Cliff Bissonnette, owner and primary technician. I have been a mechanic most of my working years. I’m trained in the electro mechanical field having gained my knowledge in Electronics during my service in the military. That has me conversant with today’s complex computer controlled systems. Once an ASE certified technician, I was the lead tech at numerous dealerships. Because of my strong background I’m told that I’m known in the industry as a technician’s tech. It is because of my honest and knowledgeable reputation that Reliable Transmission Rebuilding survived a devastating fire in Beverly, MA March of 2004. I am hands on and proof checks every vehicle. My mission is to provide you with a simple repair. If it is determined that going the simple repair route will get you the extra several thousand miles you want from your vehicle then I will present that option to you. If, on the other hand it is determined that a major overhaul is needed, you will be told exactly what needs to be done and be given a range of potential costs. Many times it is possible to give a firm price beforehand. There are no hidden fees, no surcharges and no extra cost for difficult conditions. I don't play the lowball games other transmission shops do by telling you it will cost $695.00 all the while knowing it will be $1,295.00. My initial price may seem higher but after they get done with you it will in most cases be much lower. Let’s face it, times are tough and will most likely get tougher. I’m here to work with you, not against you. Most of my rebuilds come standard with a 2 year 24 thousand mile warranty. I warrant all parts and labor. If it breaks, I will fix it. If it is defective, I will replace it. No hassles, no worries, I stand behind every job. Reliable maintains a large stock of common transmissions and parts in an effort to assist getting you back on the road as soon as possible. Truck transmissions are a priority. At Reliable Transmission Rebuilding we can either provide or direct you to pretty much anything vehicle related you may need. Focusing on service is the number one priority. When I first started this business, it was easy to buy discarded transmission cores, rebuild them and have them ready to swap into a vehicle. Today’s transmissions are much more varied by model and year breaks making inventory stock for front wheel drive vehicles nearly impossible. Many rebuilds in today’s transmission shops, like mine, are on demand custom rebuilds. Domestic trucks are by far the easiest transmissions to have ready to go so I have focused on having truck transmissions in stock ready to swap out. I will be more than happy to provide an overall assessment of your vehicle. Sometimes people need a little help when determining whether to repair or replace the vehicle. I can provide towing, diagnostics, outsourcing, fluid changes, electrical repairs, general repairs, transmission repairs, transmission rebuilds, differential repairs, transfer case repairs and much more. I will give you the option of installing a used unit to get your vehicle back on the road as economically as possible. I do on occasion get asked to do some performance work. I can, in most cases, accommodate your needs.
