The people who are protesting outside of the store are saddened by the fact that this pet store is buying their puppies cheap from a puppy mill. They have been giving proof of this fact, but chose to ignore it. The parents of these puppies live in the worst conditions possible. The owners of this store do not need to sell puppies to run their business. They would have a much better business if they did care more about animals! I would shop there as would many MANY others if they would stop selling puppy mill puppies. I do not need to be anonymous my name is: Susan Page Benson

Awesome Pet store, best in town. Friendly service, professional staff, excellent prices. Owner genuinely cares about customers, and animals in his care. Only negative I have is that I hate the idiots that are protesting in front of the store. I think that the city council should be more proactive towards the business and support the efforts of a store owner's right to earn a living. Ask this question - why not protest the bars for selling alcohol that can kill or maim people, or the banks for foreclosing on people that have been laid off work, or the police dept for giving parking tickets, or store owners for gouging patrons, etc. I think the main street businesses need to rally behind a store owner that is trying to make a living while be libeled and unfairly treated by a few left wing zealots.

Sells puppy mill puppies!

Dyvigs sells puppies from a local CONFIRMED puppy mill. Do not purchase anything from pet stores and promote the mills. These dogs are abused, neglected, and sickly. Don't shop! Adopt and save a life!

Let's get Dyvik's Pet Shoppe out of the shroud they have wrapped themselves in when it comes to where they obtain their puppies from. They will proudly proclaim their pups are from a small, local commercial breeder who is inspected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. FACT: The puppies cone from Century Farm in Grundy, IA. Their last inspection showed almost 400 dogs between adults and puppies. This is not a small comnercial breeder. It's a full scale large puppy mill! The parents of these cute puppies live a horrible life. They have never walked on grass, do not receive medical care from a vet, are bred every time they come into heat, auctioned off to another puppy miller when the first is "done" with her, and when she is too old to breed she's clubbed, or shot in the head and thrown in the garbage like yesterday's trash. Is this the kind of place you want to support with your dollars by purchasing a pup from Dyvic's Pet Shoppe? A small rescue organization, Bailing Out Benji has tried to speak with the shops owner, Dale Dyvic to no avail, to stop selling these puppy mill puos, and go into a full parynership with the local animal shelter and feature those dogs/pups. Dyvic's has recently started to show kitties from the shelter so why not dogs too? Anyone purchasing a pup needs to know no ethical, responsible breeder will advertise pups for sale in newspapers, Craigslist, or swap meets. Help stop the opdration of puppy mills by NOT purchasing pups from pet shops, and please biucott

I have been an avid aquarist for fifteen years. This is the best pet store in town. While their selection is small, all the fish are in good health. If they do not have what you are looking for, they will try and get it for you. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Very clean store! However, I've had some trouble keeping my fish alive. The owner has offered to order me several items and then when I've gone in to pick them up he's either forgotten or just said it'd be in next time. The parking is very poor there and it's a ways away from my house so I don't like to drive all the way there just to find out that he didn't order it.
