- The Mabel Hartzell Historical Home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Local Landmark for the City of Alliance, Ohio. It was built in 1867 by Matthew and Mary Edwards Earley. Their adopted daughter Mabel Hartzell bequeathed it to the Alliance Historical Society in 1954. It is a fine example of Italianate architecture and features 7 marble fireplaces.
