- Pain ManagementWe do have a scientific explanation for the pain relief obtained from acupuncture treatment. There are a number of receptors found in the body that convey various sensations such as pain, temperature, pressure and touch. These sensations from the external body are then directed via the central nervous system to the brain which then releases neurotransmitters and natural pain relieving hormones. These substances (endorphones and enkephalins) are similar to morphine. Other effects are seen such as increasing circulation, relieving muscle spasms, and stimulating nerves.
- Arthritis TreatmentSolensia controls arthritis pain in cats, which can lead to an easier time moving. Solensia works like your cat’s naturally made antibodies to reduce pain signals. It’s a type of medicine called a biologic (a protein, not a chemical) that targets a root cause of your cat’s arthritis pain. Improvement in symptoms was seen in 77% of cat owners when their cats were treated monthly with Solensia in a 3-month study.
