I had a significant balance breakthrough and would like to share this with others. My bicycle accident 22+ months ago resulted in a TBI head injury, whiplash, and walking imbalance. I then went for various therapies (speech, visual, and physical) with bits of improvement at a TBI clinic. Later I was referred to a chiropractor. Dr. Bodnar, did various adjustments over the course of four + months, and just last month, he did a condyle lift, which slightly realigned the axis and atlas. The out-of-aligned neck interconnected with the brain pathways. Well, almost immediately I noticed the difference and the next day I was able to walk straight once again – something I have not been able to do since my bicycle accident just shy of two years ago! I can also walk down ramps and downstairs without touching the railing, and my thinking is much clearer! My head injury resulted in brain/neck/neural kinked pathways, like a kinked hose. Now things are flowing – my thinking, walking and coordination. No more herky-jerk uneven walking. I guess you could say that my head is on straight now with the vestibular system properly aligned, correcting my balance. I am quite grateful with this significant balance breakthrough and hopefully it leads to permanent recovery. Dr. Bodnar has some highly skilled chiropractic techniques, and hopefully he can help others with balance issues from traumatic head injuries. I go to the chiropractor weekly and Dr. Bodnar has done the condyle lift procedure on me a few times now. Here is his website. http://chiropractor-alexandria.com/
Please feel free to share my significant balance breakthrough with others. I am delighted with the results and hope others will find this as helpful "balancing" information.

Best Chiropractor

Six years ago I slept wrong and my neck was stiff for a week, I could barely drive. My heating pad and ibuprofen regimen wasn’t working and I realized I needed some professional intervention so I called Bodnar Chiropractic. I was in pain, they were close by, they accepted my insurance, and the woman that answered the phone was nice. I was just looking for some relief from the pain that I was suffering (and to be able to look both ways before entering traffic), but I ended up with so much more.

The entire office is friendly and professional. Patients walk in the door and you feel as if Norm just walked into Cheers. Everyone I know that has been a patient there has loved the energy of the place. On a practical note, they file your insurance for you (many chiropractic offices do not) and they are the only doctor’s office I have been to where I have never had a billing issue because something was filed incorrectly. The office manager, Karen, is truly amazing.

My stiff neck was remedied pretty quickly but x-rays (taken on-site) showed that I needed some other issues addressed. I have continued with regular appointments with Dr. Bodnar for all these years because I just feel so much healthier. I’m no expert on why chiropractic adjustments are so beneficial to your overall health, but I can tell you that I have not had the flu or even a cold since I started having them; he can also make a headache magically disappear.

So, if you woke up and couldn’t turn your head, or suffer from back pain, or migraines, I encourage you to call and make an appointment with Dr. Bodnar now and take your first step toward a healthier life, I am grateful that I did.

Extraordinary Care

Dr. Bodnar has a level of expertise that chiropractors I had seen previously do not have. Previous chiropractic adjustments could eliminate pain and symptoms but did not adjust the cause. The results were temporary, and the pain and problems eventually returned. With the excellent chiropractic care that Dr. Bodnar provides I am much more than simply asymptomatic; my body is healing. I am experiencing better physical health now than I have for most of my adult life due to regular chiropractic care.

Dr. Bodnar is truly concerned with the total wellness of his patients. When my particular condition could not be completely corrected with chiropractic care Dr. Bodnar recommended other solutions. Dr. Bodnar provided physical therapy when I strained a tendon and then referred me to a podiatrist to be certain that it was healed before running again. When I had reoccurring pain in my shoulder Dr. Bodnar identified the source of the pain in my cervical spine and treated me with a wide variety of techniques. He then recommended that I see a neurologist and have an MRI and suggested the need for surgery. Dr. Bodnar is interested in bringing about the best health possible for his patients.

The entire team at Bodnar Chiropractic Center provides an extraordinary level of care. They each take a personal interest in and show genuine concern for each of their patients. They are all dedicated to helping patients enjoy their very best health and well-being.

Worked for me!

I saw several medical doctors for a herniated disc and was told I would need surgery after I had an MRI. My wife wanted me to see a chiropractor before I went under the knife. I was willing to try anything before surgery. I was very sceptical at first when I was told it would take therapy 3x per week for 6 weeks to see results. I scheduled the surgery for 6 weeks and decided that I would at least give this a try. I actually felt a little worse after the first 2 treatments, but after the first week, I started to sleep a little more comfortably. After the second week, the numbness in my toes started to go away. I didn't feel much better again until the fourth week, when I could start to stand up straight. It was a combination of adjustments, traction and electrodes. I decided as we approached the 5th week I would delay the surgery for now. Finally after the sixth week I started to come in 2x per week and now after 3 months I'm pain free. I hate to tell my wife that she was right, but she saved me on this one. The moral to my story is get a second opinion and give it a try.
