General Info

I have 14 years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings working with children, adolescents and adults on a range of issues impacting quality of life. I also have several years experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders, as well as individuals with chronic mental illness. I have considerable focus in the areas of PTSD, abuse recovery, depression and grief. I also love working with children and adolescents and their families. My experience has included close work with Anglo, African American, Hispanic and Native American individuals. I believe in the power of a relationship where the therapist is a guide in helping individuals expand insights and grow in their awareness of their own strengths and ability to act as instruments in the healing process. This is true regardless of the source of the challenge. I value the human ability to seek emotional well-being, and I believe my role in the therapeutic process is to shine a light on the strengths and abilities intrinsic in individuals who are committed to improving their lives, relationships, and a sense of their own self-worth.
