M & W Electric, Inc. is a first rate company

M&W Electric, Inc. is a locally owned and operated company that supports the local community more than anyone knows. My family was involved in the PHS baseball program for years. Mike and Dave and their crew donated countless hours and materials to get the lights on the baseball field working after years of them being inoperable. Their generosity brought light to the newly purchased and installed score board. They generously donated the materials and labor to wire the McGarry Fieldhouse. These are just a few of the many things they have done that I have been involved in. They have done these things out of the goodness of their hearts and have never asked for anything in return. They have always said, ‘It’s for the kids. We’re happy to do what we can.’ They are always able to troubleshoot and solve any problems they are presented with. They are on the job when they say they will be, have an amazingly professional work ethic and focus on their quality of workmanship. Mike and Dave are as honest as the day is long. No job is too big or too small for them. I would highly recommend them for any and all of your electrical needs.

M & W Electric supports education in Albany!

Michael Weaver, the owner of M & W Electric, donated the use of a company truck and $100 worth of electrical supplies to a South Albany High School Electronics project. The project was to build a mobile phone charging station on a golf cart powered by a solar panel. Bill Fitts, an electrician with M & W Electric, spent many hours working with students to do the wiring and testing to get it up and running. He was incredibly patient with teaching the students and cultivating their interest in electrical work and was an extraordinary problem solver in helping the students to figure out how to do the mechanical and electrical work involved in this project that had no blueprint! Thank you for working with Albany students on a renewable energy project! The students and I, their teacher, are super grateful to Bill and Mike for their generosity and support of electrical education in Albany!

Dishonest and don't care if the customer is satisfied!

We bought an older home and had to have all the wiring pigtailed. 3/4 of the job was finished by one electrician. His work was acceptable and timely. My only complaint with him is all the wire trimming left all over the house. Very inconsiderate. The last 1/4 of the home (the kitchen) was to be finished at a later date. Another electrician was scheduled to do this work. The first day, my husband stayed home from work to let the electrician in, he no showed. No call, No communication. The second and third appointment, my husband again stayed home from work, the electrician was 30 minutes late, No call. On this third and supposedly the last appointment we were assured that the work would be completed, inspected and finished that day. We were unable to be present this day. It was a Friday. The work was not complete. No communication from the company. And he left a huge pile of wire clipping and wallboard on the floor in the kitchen. On Saturday we were going to hang a painting and my husband went to get his 2 month old drill that had been used only a couple times to hang things on the wall and discovered the electrian had used it to drill holes in the wallboard. It was filthy and completly scratched that you couldn't even read the label. There were also dusty fingerprints all over my husbands beer brewing refrigerator in the garage. My husband called the company the next week. It took 2 days for a return call and he still did not get to discuss the problem with the manager. I called a week later and left another message with the secretary. When Rick called my husband he answered the phone to, "So, how did we disappoint you?" He stated, "My electrician has his own tools so I don't know why he would use yours." No apology, No concern at all. We would have been satisfied with an apology and a replacement of our $100drill and we would have recommended them to others. Not much to ask when we have already spent close to 4K on their work. So, RUN from this company. They are dishonest and don't care!
