If you are trying to sell coins, by very wary. They will offer you an amount way below what you can get elsewhere hoping that you won't know any better. I sold my coins to another dealer for much more than their offer.

I found the personnel at Derzon Coin to be exceptionally helpfull and friendly. They were informative, knowledgable, and quite patient while handling business with me. They had a completely professional style without being overbearing, pushy, or arrogant, as I have often experienced in prior dealings with like businesses. They were more than willing to suggest that, if I was not quite sure, comfortable or satisfied with the answers/offers they provided me, I go to another dealer specializing in my current needs (I was seeking appraisal of coins that were in less than stellar condition as well as old gold items, also in less-than-mint condition) so that I could compare their offer/expertise with another company. I took them up on their offer, and even though another company offered a (VERY) slight difference in value above what Derzon did, because of the exceptional customer service I received at Derzon, I chose to deal with them. I will continue to take my business to Derzon!!

I took in a collection of U.S. coins I was trying to sell to be appraised by them. After a few days, they called back to say the appraisal was done and I should come back in. So I did, and then they told me that there was no need for me take the collection to any other dealer because the appraisal amount would be pretty much the same. They said it wouldn't matter, and that I should just sell to them. I however did get appraisals elsewhere, and they were substantially higher, from 25%-45% more (which in my case meant a couple thousand dollars). Needless to say I did not sell to Derzon coins, and felt that the appraisal I paid was for inaccurate and not worthwhile in the slightest. My advice, don't sell coins to Derzon, because you can get A LOT more money from other dealers in the greater Milwaukee area. Not to mention that the owner of the Derzon shop was quite unhelpful.
