      As a senior citizen (67), I scheduled an appointment for Monday 2/15/16 at 5:30 PM (after work) for a checkup! X-rays, checkup, and recommendations were given to evaluate. Recommendations included (4) surface fillings, perio therapy (gum and teeth cleaning), and upper and lower dentures. Total cost of $3736.00 on one consultation worksheet. I had to ask the office/business manager for a complete breakdown of the total costs. I requested to get the surface fillings done and would think about the other recommendations and was told I had to pay for the fillings up front before it would be done. I responded by stating I always pay for dental work at time of service. I make $36,000 per year, have an auto loan at Veridian Credit Union, and no missed payments on credit. Time to look for a new dentist!
