      Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, also known as AVRMC, is an extended care facility. It is also approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Located in La Junta, Colo., the center s facility is spread over an area of more than 125,000 square feet. Its home health services include ostomy care, diabetes education, therapeutic exercises, cognitive training, specialty splitting and counseling. The center s cardiopulmonary therapies include pulse oximetry, incentive spirometry, volume ventilation, Holter monitoring, postural drainage and therapeutic gas administration. The center s obstetrics department specializes in fetal monitoring and neonatal resuscitation. Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center also operates a radiology department that offers general diagnostic, ultrasound, nuclear medicine and mammography services.
