I have used this business for over 6 years to perform quarterly pest control service for my home. They are ALWAYS prompt and courteous. No contracts and yet they stand behind all their work, I have 2 other family members on a regular service with them now too.Recently, I developed mold in my crawlspace. Bacon's remediated it, gave me a discount for being a regular customer and did a great job. I trust them with all my termite, pest and mold issues!!! Highly recommend!!!!!! Great family business and the owners are ALWAYS willing to talk to us and solve all our problems as they arise.Reasonably priced too! Bacon's treat you like family.
HIGHLY recommend them. They performed our termite inspection in Springfield for $50.00, They had noted old termite evidence and gave a 1 year warranty with the warranty paper attached to the report at closing. After moving in and starting to remodel, we discovered lots of evidence inside the walls that had not been visible to Bacon's at the time of their inspection. After meeting with us a couple times and understanding the conflicts we had with others, they performed a complete termite treatment AT NO CHARGE of the entire house & garage saying they wanted us to "have piece of mind". They went above and beyond anything required or expected! I have heard so many good stories about them. Added bonus is all the charitable work they do for this community! Kudos to you guys! Anyone who can't get along and work with these guys are just difficult people to get along with themselves. Remember, there are two sides to every story. I happily refer them to everyone I know!
We purchased our house at the beginning on Feb 2012, we chose Bacon to do the Termite Inspection on the house based on the banks suggestion. They said that there were no signs of termites and that they had a years guarantee on the inspection on their website. Now two months later we had Terminex come in and do an assessment on the house for all insects/bugs. Of course to our surprise they found some termite damage in the corner of our basement in what the Terminex guy says,"I am so surprised that they did not notice this in the inspection, you should call them imediately!" So we called Bacon and they said that we should have had a paper at close that we had to return to them at close for a warranty on their work. WHAT?! First we have all the paperwork and that was not in the paperwork, second your kidding right, you stand by your work, assessment, but yet we have termites! Then they said we could give you a good price on the treatment, UM NO...You are responsible for this and the best you can do is give us a small price break. Terminex has a contract with us now and we have learned a huge lesson. Bacon Pest Control is not about Customer Service and they also do not do a good inspection. So if you are thinking about using them for your inspection on your possible future home, DON'T ! Call Terminex and get a REAL GUARANTEE not the run around!!!!!!! Shame on this company for saying they stand by their work and saying that they are about customer service and NOT coming through on their word or work. I would also like to say we are in springfield il and I would assume glen arm is the same owner.
Bacons has always been timely, professional and reasonably priced! No contracts like Orkin or terminex but just as good- nice people and do what they get paid for with a smile!
We have used their services for several rental properties we own. They are reliable, courteous and very friendly. They take the stress out of a stressful situation. I recommend them to all my friends and family. Keep up the great work.
