I brought my dog to this vet about a year ago when she first developed a mass on her chest. I was worried but the vet blew off my concern saying it was just a fatty mass and "nothing to worry about." The mass grew larger over the months and my dog died suddenly on Nov 30 of this year. After doing more research, I have learned that ANY mass should be biopsied. The vet was neglectful and dismissed my beloved dog despite me asking the nurse to send him back in so I could ask questions! I tried to ask him if there were tests he could do and he just acted superior and treated me as though I was wasting his time. Thanks to this facility, my beloved dog is dead.

I used to like going to this place then I realized that Dr. Rick has outdated rabbit knowledge. He doesn't prescribe pain meds after spaying or neutering a rabbit. I took a rabbit there for a lump in her mouth and he didn't even try to look in her mouth or do an x-ray even though we insisted. I started going to Patton in Redlion which takes us about 45 minutes to get to. Prices are about the same as Dover but the doctors are super nice and very knowledgeable. The place is clean and very animal friendly. Too bad it's a hike from Dover.

I have dealt with this office for years and I have had several different pets during that time. I can't say enough for how great they are. I will see any of the doctors, everyone is qualified and pleasant to deal with. Recently a young new male doctor was added to staff (Dr. Mike) and he's actually one of my faves...a little goofy but you can't help but appreciate the obvious animal love he has. I'm a nurse in a doctor's office and have found that some people just are irritable and think everyone owes them something. That's the only way to explain the review from "Sauncie"...she just sounds like someone who's disgruntled because she thinks she deserves special treatment for whatever reason. Wake up, lady....there's too many patients and not enough doctors in the world. Be it humans or animals, sometimes you have to wait, see a doctor other than your favorite, or pay more than you want to. You can't have an hour with the doctor when you have a 15 minute appointment, that's life. I love these docs, and despite the fact that I now live an hour away I continue to take my "kids" to them for everything, even boarding when need be. I trust them, they're good, and the prices are reasonable. I've never felt rushed nor felt like my animals didn't get the care I expected. I highly recommend!

Dr. Dave Pike and his staff have been taking exceptional care of my babies for atleast 9 years. He and Dr. Anne have seen me and my pets through many rough times. I love them!!! Great job guys.

We really like Dover Area Animal Hospital. We find the staff to be friendly and helpful. The vets will answer your questions and clearly explain details so you are sure you know what is going on with your pet. They even offered to aid us in giving our dog eardrops every single day for free if we brought him in! We have tried other vets in the area and found them to be more about selling you products than taking care of your pets health. Here they seem to care about your pet and not pushing expensive procedures and products. We have also always been happy with boarding our dog here and have never had any complaints.
