      In 1896, a group of farmers had a desire to insure their property against loss, forming Farmers Fire Insurance Company of Sullivan County*. Over the past 113 years, the needs of our policyholders have changed. We have and will continue to adjust and grow with those changing needs. In 2003, the name of the Company changed to East Tennessee Mutual Insurance Company. With the name change came expanded overages. Today, we still offer the fire insurance for farms and dwellings, and now also offer a full Homeowner Policy. The Company still follows the values of its original founders by being honest and providing our policyholder's with a personal touch and "peace of mind". In order to grow with the demanding needs of today's policyholders, the Company formed East Tennessee Mutual 1896 Agency so we are now able to offer Auto Insurance. Our desire is to remain a strong viable company well into the future. East Tennessee Mutual Insurance has been providing insurance to Blountville, TN, for over 100 years. We offer a peace of mind regarding your most prized possessions. Our services include homeowners' insurance, renters' insurance, property insurance, and more. We offer a wide variety of coverage plans for Homes, Farms, Automobiles, Liability, and Homeowners!
