Asheville Children s Medical Center has been providing pediatric care and treatment service since 1968. It is a group of medical professionals that serves thousands of children every year. The center has a staff of pediatricians, mid-level providers, mental health therapists and nurses. Asheville Children s Medical Center maintains an in-house laboratory that is certified by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments and offers routine and diagnostic testing services. It treats common child problems, such as cough, flu, headache, diabetes and dehydration, as well as chronic disorders. The center also offers a variety of behavioral health and counseling services for children and adolescents with psychiatric and psychological needs. In addition, its community-based services include home-based behavioral health care, case management, prevention, consulting and educational services. Asheville Children s Medical Center maintains a presence in Asheville, N.C.
