Some of the most kindest and hardest working people I've ever met. Very professional, and dedicated to the comfort and well-being of the animals.😉

Yaps

I completely disagree with the two post I personally worked there myself for a year you imagine they work from 6 in the morning cleaning all those dogs cages and making sure they disinfect things properly so those dogs don't get sick I have worked side by side with the owner she has to look good for the community and she gets her hands dirty too they all care for those animals more than ever you should not judge them for one time visit get to know them first they try there hardest the are a non profit organization so yes to keep there shelter going its based off donations and there fees for taking care of the animals like spaying them giving them there shots sometimes vet visits and micro chipping there a great place take time and volunteer and see how nice and caring that shelter is

I agree with the last post. My senior mother adopted a cat from there about a year ago. They didn't seem to really care who she was and whether or not she actually could take care of the cat. My mother is almost 80. When I came back to return the cat, they would not take her. After some words they were will to take the back for a fee but I finally decided that it would be better for the cat if she didn't return there. She lives with me and I'm allergic but she is doing well. That Director seemed more interest in how she looked that day then what kind of homes the animals were getting. It's just about moving animals out and looking good in the paper. I absolutely will never give any support to this place. They even keep dogs outside in all types of weather. They don't let the public see or hear about that.

AVOID. Pets are taken from out of area but people in the community are asked to support the shelter. Ask about the last person who cared for the animals who killed some and is now in jail. You won't see that in the paper because the editor of the local paper is on the board. Avoid this shelter. They care more about the $ then making sure the animals are put into good homes. There are also a lot of pets returned to YAPS but they don't tell the public about this. What you see and all the wonderful press in the paper isn't exactly what goes on in that place.
