      Located in Yorktown Heights, N.Y., Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park maintains boat launch sites, woodland hiking trails, swimming pools and waterslides. The park s facilities include playgrounds, tennis courts, picnic grounds, soccer fields and golf courses. It also serves as a venue for organizing cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating and snowmobiling activities. Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park is a place for conducting recreational programs, as well as biking, boating, fishing and sledding activities. Additionally, it is a venue for various sports activities that include softball, volleyball and basketball. The park is owned and operated by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, which maintains various parks, campgrounds, beaches, golf courses, nature centers, trails and administration buildings. The office also organizes various programs and activities for individuals.
