My husband and his family have been patients of the Ahren's brothers for as long as the Ahren's brothers have practiced in the area. My mother-in-law was the administrator for the Marion County Health Unit for years.My husband is one of those men who will not go to a doctor for regular check ups and it is extremely difficult to get him to a Dr. when he is ill. He is getting older and after much begging and pleading I managed to get him to agree to let me set an appointment with Dr. Bogle, (whom is also a cousin to my husband.) I was told by a receptionist that my husband would need to come in as 'new patient status' due to the amount of time since his last visit to the clinic. The Dr. was on vacation and they would call me when he returned. The didn't. You can imagine my shock when I was told by the receptionist after my second attempt to set an appointment, that the Dr. refused to see my husband as a patient and would not give any reason for this denial of services from the clinic. My husband suffers with very high blood pressure, emphysema, and phlebitis. All I can deduce from this rejection, since explanation would not be given, is that Dr. Bogle doesn't feel qualified to attend a patient with these problems. The Ahren's brothers would be ashamed as should the entire clinic!
