Had to go see Bunting Marine again today. I thought I would have to drop some big bucks for a rebuild on 3 carbueraters. Turns out they only had to flush them out. Saved me about $500.00 over what someone else quoated me. These guys really know what they are doing.

I hear horror stories all the time about guys leaving their boats for repairs only to forget what color their boat was. After a wheel barring droped me on the side of the road yesterday, boat and trailer had to be towed on a flatbed to Bunting Marine. I was all set to be without a boat for a week. I get a call this afternoon telling the boat is ready. It's only been about 18 hours and I'm back in business. Mike told me he has replaced hub and barrings on both sides because of their age. Thanks Mike, I don't need another wreaker bill.I highly recommend these guys. Tell them Capt. Larry sent you.

I have attempted to use Bunting Marine in Wylie TX on two occasions. The first time was awhile back. I needed two parts to repair a motor. They did not have the parts in stock so they had to be ordered. Order time was to be 7 to 10 days. After 7 days I called to find out status of order. Was told the owner was not there at the moment but they would ask him to call me. Never received a call back. Between 10 and 12 days, I called again and was given the same story. The boss does all the ordering and they could not tell me if parts had actually been order. Again was told they would have him call me and again no call. After three weeks I called and told them to cancel the order. In the fourth week I received a call that the parts were in. I reminded them I had cancelled the order after three week. I was told they understood why. This was from employees not the owner. I am a slow learner I guess because 9 days ago I tried to deal with them again. I was told that part would be pulled that afternoon or next day and they would call me. I finally called after three days and was informed that the part had not been pulled but as soon as the person who was to pull the part came in he would be informed. Nine days later I called the store and was told the person who would pull it was not in but would be in later in the morning. I told them I would check after noon. I instead visited the store around 3:00 pm. Once again the person was not there after I was told he would be sometime during the morning. I asked if that person worked there and was informed he was the owner. If the owner has no great interest in customer relations how can it be a good place to trade with? The first time was shame on them, the second time shame on me and there will not be a third time. If you can keep the owner out of the picture it might work but if he is in the picture I am afraid the same treatment will happen.
