      “Following college graduation, I shadowed an orthopaedic surgeon and immediately knew I wanted to pursue this as a career. Throughout medical school my love for the field grew as I developed the physical and mental skills necessary to make a diagnosis and treat patients of all ages. Following the completion of my residency, I furthered my skills with advanced training in hand and upper extremity surgery. I feel this advanced training helps me better treat my patients so they can achieve maximum restoration of function. I see orthopaedics as a “hands-on” type of medicine that I find very rewarding. “As an orthopaedic surgeon, I pride myself on educating my patients about their problem. I allow patients the time to ask questions of “who, what, when, where, why and how” and provide thorough answers.
