General Info: Cherokee County Water and Sewage Authority offers various programs and services for supplying clean and pure drinking water to all residents of Cherokee County, Ga., and to provide funding for all water services through the issuing of revenue bonds backed up by customer revenue. The authority provides online water quality reports that highlight the source of its water, list the results of its tests, and offer information pertaining to water quality, health and hygiene. It also provides source water assessment reports that identify the area of land that contributes the raw water that is processed into drinking water, identifies potential sources of contaminations, and provides an understanding of the drinking water supply s susceptibility to contamination. Cherokee County Water and Sewage Authority is supplied surface water from the Etowah River in Georgia, and is treated by the Etowah River Water Treatment Facility.
