My husband bought me a birthday cake from here. A chocolate mousse chessecake, this place should be outlawed. It was the most amazing cake I have ever placed in my mouth. Jim said that their motto is one bite your hooked, thats no lie! My daughter turned 16 and back to Sweet Maria's I went. Wilson needed a bakery like this, its about time. Their pasteries are like no other. I would recommed it highly, if you have a party or just want something different go there. When the owner told me she's opened seven days a week, I was so suprised and excited. Sweet Maria's has a customer for life. I tell all my friends and family members this is the place to go. This is absolutely the best bakery I've ever been to. The baker at Sweet Maria's is awesome. I don't know how she can have such a variety all the time and continues to treat her customers with new items. I've had most of her things since she opened in August. It is really hard to choose the thing I like the best because she is constantly outdoing herself.Once I think I have my favorite, here she comes again with something new. My husband says, "Once you've had Sweet Maria's you can't go back to anyone elses." Others just don't stand up to her European flair. Sweet Maria and Miss Woodard, the owners, are very nice young ladies and are always willing to do whatever it takes to make you a satisfied customer. Their employees always greet you with a smile and make you feel really welcome. If I had to choose my favorite American dessert, I guess I would choose the brownies. Three kinds to choose from. WOW! I love chocolate!! My favorite European dessert would probably be Daddy's Mistake (simular to bread pudding). If you happen to be in Wilson, I strongly suggest you try this bakery. It will be worth your time. I promise!!

This is exactly what Wilson Needed!!! Its out of this world, nothing like it here. I have ordered several birthday cakes there and it never seems to amaze me how excellent everything is. The people there are just so sweet. The owner and baker is very sweet and very helpful, will take her time to explain and give her ideas when your out of one... I have never been disappointed. My co-workers and I go there as much as we can. We have ordered platters of goodies , which by the way they fix up for you on the spot. Always a smiling face to welcome you. It is such a pleasure, to sit and enjoy a cup of Sweet Maria's Coffee, which by the way is better then Starbucks and costs alot less.... If you want to go and just sit and talk and enjoy a dessert it is wonderful there. I try to go at least 4 times a week. Their open 7 days a week....YES, Sundays can you believe it??? If you go you have to try the Triangle thing, they call it the "Faties" something like that, it is to die for... It truly is. Best thing I have ever had. My friends favorite is a chocolate mousse cake. Really if you have a chance just go in and look, and you can truly smell and see how good everything is.... MJ
