Windriver took over our excellent and reliable local company. We were on a maintenance schedule with Blanchard and never experienced a problem. They were prompt, courteous and never tried to sell more service than needed. Suddenly this year a post card from Wind River arrives, stating Blanchard merged with them. Well, honestly, when you call you are routed to Hudson, MA. Both times I called, they told me our records weren't "in the system yet" but tried to sell me a maintenance whether I needed it yet or not. The customer service rep then tried to sell me on servicing the system twice as often because "it will prevent problems". They are not unpleasant on the phone but are definitely giving the runaround in terms of trying to sell you a maintenance visit whether you need it or not. Why would a company send out a mailer encouraging you to call them but not have your records "in the system"? Buyer beware-I'm looking for a new LOCAL provider-not a multistate behemoth in search of more $$.
