      General Info
      Set on the north slope of Mount Shasta and located north of Weed, Calif., the Lake Shastina Golf Resort offers 27 holes of golf. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the resort also features the Lake Shastina Golf Shop and clubhouse, complete with tennis courts, restaurant and lounge. A heated swimming pool and spa are open during the summer months. The golf course spans nearly 7,000 yards playing from the championship tees, but is as short as 5,500 yards hitting from the red tees. Overlooking the course is Mount Shasta, or the Magnificent Monster as area golfers call it. Lodging is available at the resort via an assortment of one-bedroom condominiums. Each condo features hide-a-beds, decks, color televisions, phones and kitchenettes. The Lake Shastina Golf Resort began operating in 1973.
