Took my car to Northup's Imports on Wed 10/5/2016 because I heard they were very reputable. I waited 5 days to get a response from them and was told that I needed $800.00 worth of brake work. Did not have the money so I took the car for a second opinion. At this appointment it took the mechanic lees than 2 minutes from the time I arrived to diagnose the problem he opened the hood right in the drive way and looked around and spotted a broken part hanging against the side of the engine compartment which cost just over $100 to repair. Northup's obviously did not even open the hood in 5 days to decide they needed $800.00 if you take your car here you may want to consider a second opinion before handing over hands full of money on their say so. I will not be returning to Northup's Imports

And add to that Tammy, who sets up all the repairs...phone...she must have 3-arms..anyway she is just pure grreat. She also knows a great deal aboutall cars. can't beat the price and you know its going to be right when you pick up your car. Don

Ive used Northups for many repairs and maintenance over the years and they always do good work at fair prices. And, above and beyond that, they are honest! Northups saved me about $700 by pointing out that a part I needed replaced was likely still under warranty. The dealership ended up replacing the part for free. Northup's could have replaced the part themselves and charged me, but instead took the honest approach. They've earned my loyalty.

Mr. Bill Northup is the most trustworthy mechanic you can find today. I hope he never retires.

The airbag light on the dash of my 2003 BMW 325 was on. I Googled it and found that this is a very common thing with BMW 3-Series cars. A lot of simple things can cause it * Driving the car through a large puddle, or being exposed to lots of rain * Swapping steering wheels * Removing the gauge cluster to replace light bulbs * Aggressive and/or track driving * Accidentally disconnecting an SRS component while hooking up electrical accessories, like an alarm or stereo * Pulling a fuse for the SRS system while performing electrical troubleshooting. * Bad seatbelt sensor in the belt receptacle (common failure) Often, all that is required is to reset the light. I called Northrup's and the mechanic there said that the light always means there is an issue and you never can just reset the light. These guys came highly recommended but after this, I won't be going there.
