Vanceburg United Methodist Church was established in 1865. We are a Spirit filled United Methodist Church following God’s calling to go into all the world making disciples of Christ by love, acceptance and Grace. you will discover a warm group of real people dedicated to following our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We see ourselves as an ever increasing family of individuals united by our faith in the person and work of Jesus. We are a body of people pursing the glory of God through the gospel of Jesus while being missionaries in our own city. From the moment you walk up to the building you can expect… A WARM GREETING A heartfelt greeting is part of what makes a church a church. No matter what question you might have just ask. You are important to God and you are important to us too. Our greeters and ushers are there to help you get settled and comfortable. Your children are important to us as well, that’s why Love and Vanceburg Youth and Children’s ministry creates a safe and fun place them to hang out with other kids while learning to live like Jesus, too. We have Sunday school at 9:30am and Sunday Morning worship service at 10:30am. We also have many other opportunities for fellowship, Bible study, ministry and Discipleship. A place that is serious about joy, true joy, the kind of joy that comes from real connection with God and others. WORSHIP We love music, all kinds of music. From hymns to worship to gospel. We use music to show our Lord how much we love and honor Him. We love to glorify God at Love and Unity, and we are never ashamed to do so. TRUTH The Bible tells us to speak the truth in love. The Bible is God’s truth. Our congregation seeks to explore, understand and apply God’s truth to our lives at every level in a spirit of love.
