I have visited GSO on three dirrerent occasions. The facilities are clean and comfortable, the food delicious, and the staff was most accommodating. The location is in a beautiful area of Alabama. I look forward to my next visits.

Just returned from a hog hunt at Great Southern with my hunting buddy, and my 13 year old daughter. It was a great hunting experience. The staff, the lodging, the food, and the hunting were all excellent. My buddy Dave killed a real nice hog, the staff worked very hard to make sure we had a great time.. We have already booked another hunt for December and can't wait to go back.

i.e.This place is awesome! The first time you go, they all treat you like family. When you come back the second time and from then on, you ARE family. The food is amazing and anyone who doesn't think so, just isn't used to good Southern home cooking. The cooks are awesome, they totally care about how happy you are, the guides are great and totally knowledgeable, and work in your best interest so that you can have the best chance at a great hunt. We will continue to return every year!

We just got back from GSO and it was wonderful! My husband hunted for wild hog and to his disappointment never got one but a person can't perdict what a wild animal will do. I, on the other hand, stayed at the lodge and took in the beautiful veiws and wonderful warm weather. Everyone at GSO were polite and helpful and my husband is already talking about going back next year. We highly recomend Rex and his crew. Go down for some southern hospitality!

Best Hunting Ever. Been to a lot of places in the south, but these people know how to take care of you. Feed you well and show you a great time. Not to mention the hunting ain't half bad either.

The people were friendly, but when it came down to hunting they didn't do anything to make sure they worked hard in giving me the best possiblity of shooting a deer. It was a waste of $4000.00. The guides were basicly taxi drivers. I am VERY DISATISFIED in the overall experince!
