Located in Tucson, Ariz., Summit View Elementary School serves more than 550 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. The school is a part of Sunnyside Unified School District 12, which operates 14 elementary schools, five middle schools, three high schools and one alternative education school. Founded in 1921, the district s schools serve more than 17,000 students. It employs more than 2,500 district employees, including teachers, administrators and a classified staff of full- and part-time personnel. In addition, Sunnyside Unified School District 12 employs approximately 150 substitute teachers and over 80 classified substitute employees. Its elementary and middle schools offer Title I programs.
