- Many people avoid endodontic treatment out of fear and anxiety. At Southern Arizona Endodontics, we want to relieve your fears and concerns and provide you with a truly comfortable experience. That is why we teamed up with dentist anesthesiologists to offer our patients sedation dentistry for stress-free endodontic treatment.Sedation dentistry is the perfect choice for those who experience extreme dental anxiety, as it allows for complete relaxation during the appointment. It is also very helpful to patients who have difficulty controlling their gag reflex or are unable to cooperate in their dental treatment. Sedation is effective, reliable, and extremely safe. A licensed dentist anesthesiologist will sedate and monitor you, while we care for your endodontic needs as you rest.Your comfort is our primary concern. When not utilizing our sedation dentistry, we anesthetize the tooth in the same way your general dentist would when placing a filling. Most patients tell us that the root canal was easier than some fillings they have had in the past.
