- Established by an Act of the First Territorial Legislature on November 7, 1864, the Arizona Historical Society (AHS) is Arizona’s oldest historical agency. AHS serves as the steward of state history, to collect, preserve, interpret, and disseminate the history of Arizona and the West. Society's artifact and manuscript holdings offer unrivaled opportunities for public programming, Educational outreach, and exhibtions as well as academic and community-based research, AHS are invaluable tools for promoting public understanding of contemporary issues such as water availability, immigration, free trade, mining, ranching and agribusiness, the defense industry, cultural diversity and urban development and revitalization. Arizona Historical Society through its exhibits, programs, publication and outreach-informs and inspires people of all ages by reminding them of the boldness and daring characterized countless individuals, past and present who have made arizona home.

- Museum Admission: Students $4 (Teachers & chaperones 1 per 5 students) free $2 add'l Chaperone Adults $8 Ages 65+ $6 Adult student $5 Ages 7-17 $4 Ages 6 and younger free with family AHS Members and Veterans are free Two-for-one admission the first Tuesday of each month There is no admission fee for the Research Library. Monday is Family Night: Admission is $1 Ages 7+ from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Friday is Cheap Date Nite: Admission is $1 Ages 7+ from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
