OK

Waitstaff needs training. Same old bar food. The atmosphere filled with friends raised the rating to three stars.

Great meal

We had a great meal...super burgers, very yummy fish tacos, kids chicken strips (which were NOT processed, pressed nasty chicken, but real chicken breaded on site) and best of all: deep fried Oreos! Yummy!!

We had dinner here on Saturday night around 5:30 pm. The wait staff was very friendly. The food was terrible. We had the fried portabella mushrooms which were over cooked and tasteless. The three of us ordered hamburgers which had absolutely no flavor and were burnt on the outside. The fries were good. The owner was sitting in the corner on his laptop and when he walked by us he did not acknowledge his guests at all. Most likely will not come back.

i brought my date to big papa's for dinner about a week ago and we had a great time. the food and service were both top notch!! we both had the meat loaf and it was absolutely delicious. if i didn't know better i would have thought my grandmother was working in their kitchen. we started out with a bowl of their corn chowder. it was easily the best i have ever had. also, i highly recommend you have some of their homemade coleslaw. it truly was "to die for." great atmosphere to dine in. don't be influenced by some of the bad reviews here. give it a try, you won't be disappointed!!

I hope people aren't totally going by these negitive reviews. We went there 2 times and both times the service was great. Both times the food was great.. Fries just like Gibby's. My friend liked it so much she took her daughter and son in law there. We didn't have any of the experiences that some of the other reviewers said. Maybe they went when they first opened..and that is not always a good thing. Give it a chance and you will be happily surprised. Great Food.. No Problems..Can't wait to go back..

The portabello mushroom appetizer and the fried pickles were very good even though they were over-salted. The french fries are hand-cut, which is a definite plus! If we EVER go back (doubtful), we will order only apps! We were there for dinner. I ordered the pan-fried whitefish, one of the more expensive items on the menu ($14.99), which came to the table swimming in grease and so salty I couldn't eat it. My husband ordered the brisket which was stringy and cold. Somebody has to take the salt shaker away from the "cook." Our waiter was so busy and flustered that he seemed to have forgotten us. We had to ask for forks and basic condiments from other wait staff. But I do have to give them kudos for the interior renovation. It's bright and clean and welcoming!

What a horrible experience.Ribs were boiled and flavorless, sauce was nasty Would have been much better with a commercial sauce like sweet baby rays than the bland sauce they used..My wifes grilled meatloaf fell apart and was cold and quite bland.Guessing that they used no binder in the recipe. I was expecting a much better show of culinary talent than what we had. Big Papa was roaming around the restaurant. He was wearing blue striped sweat pand and a gray baggy sweatshirt. Is this the attire of a restaurant owner ? I forgot to mention the BLT I had..The bacon was very similiar to bacon bits. Over cooked, and quite possibly not cooked the same day. Shouldn't you partially cook the bacon beforehand and finish off the cooking process of the bacon as you are finishing the order ? Back to Big Papa...I never once in the hour we were there notice him acknowledge any of the patrons. No "how is your meal" " hey, I appreciate your business" " Please come again" Horrible display of tableside manor from an owner of a new business. Maybe a look at the quality of food would be smart. A bar with good burgers and fried food would fare better than a wanna be reastaurant with sub-par food and a lack luster owner. Sorry, no stars on this one

Nice to have a new, nice place to go in the area. The food was good, the bartender was friendly. Had a problem with an appetizer being a little overcooked but they took it back and replaced it, no questions asked. Lots of TVs so it will be a great place to go to watch games. We will definitely return.

My family and I decided we would go in and give it a try. The servers and bartender seemed to be friendly and greeted us very promptly. However the server that was helping us seemed to be very all over the place, he was very nice but he had no clue what he was doing, he greeted us and took our drink order which took about 10 minutes to receive them, he hurried by our table 4 times before bringing the drinks and take our food order and had only 1 other couple that he was helping. We ordered an appetizer the fried pickles, they were very yummy, however it is 5.99 and you only get 2 pickles, there were 3 of us at the table and mind you it is a wrapped pickle spear. We ordered our entree's; my husband ordered the large BBQ dinner, very very disappointing the BBQ sauce is very bland it tastes like a watered down mixture of Heinz 57sauce and ketchup nothing had been seasoned, along with it he ordered the garlic mashed and they were so under seasoned they tasted like boiled potatoes and the serving size for 14.99 was no more than a half slab of ribs if even that. Our daughter ordered a 1/3 pound burger for 7.99 and .50 for anything you put on it, lettuce, tomato, and cheese so 9.49 for the burger. This however was a bit better except they didn't season the meat or the fries that came with it, very bland. I ordered the pork loin dinner with the fresh green beans for 10.99. The pork had OK flavor it is wrapped in bacon which sounds good but the bacon was completely raw and chewy. The apple chutney was not very good at all, there was no balance to it, very sweet. the green beans were over cooked chewy and limp. They also have bacon pieces in them, the bacon was very soggy and chewy and there was really no flavor to them at all. This place has potential however I just don't see the need for my family to return when I can go a few minutes down the road pay less and get a YUMMY dinner.

My friend and I went there for St Patty's day dinner. First off, the waitress knew NOTHING about the food, we asked recommendations on the food and all she had to say was They JUST opened and she hadn't tried any of the food. We ordered the onion rings for an appetizer, the flavor was good, but VERY greasy.

THEN the so called romaine salad, was just a plate full of romaine lettuce. My friend had order a BLT on Wheat bread, it came out on White bread, the tomato looked like it was from the day before and the bacon was burned to a crisp.

I had ordered Grilled meatloaf with a side of roasted red potatoes, the meatloaf was ok, but the potatoes I would swear were from the day before and VERY salty. A guy came to the table, didn't introduce himself, so not sure who he was, said he would comp our 3 beers, took my friends meal and my salad off the bill. The problem we had with this is, he said it was OUR table that had a problem, as if NO other table had a BLT that looked like this, we figure no one else was saying anything.
