We're fortunate to have such a great museum in our community. The exhibits, events, and contributions to our community are a great part of what makes Toledo a great place to live, work, and play.

It doesn’t matter if I’m going to a special exhibit or just walking around the museum, I always enjoy my time at TMA!

The art museum is terrific. I highly recommend it. I go there to see the art about twice a month.

Excellent concerts occur at the musuem also. There's a small glass-walled concert hall in the Glass Pavilion that is very beautiful. Most of the walls are glass. It would be fine for lectures, but is completely unsuitable for classical music concerts. I did hear a wonderful concert of Lou Harrison's music in the concert hall in the Glass Pavilion on 8/12/2017. Unfortunately, the glass wall between the concert hall and the exterior corridor kept out almost none of the corridor noise. Thus, it was something like having a concert in a hotel lobby. If you're lucky, no one will talk in the lobby and you'll be able to hear the music properly. If you're unlucky, you'll hear a lot of extraneous talking mixed in with the music. If the art museum is going to use the hall for music, they should replace the glass wall between the hall and the corridor with a wall that keeps out all the hallway noise. Otherwise, the hall is not functional. It's as if you wanted an especially beautiful car to drive around Toledo, so you commissioned someone to build you a car. The builder makes it out of paper. When it's done, it's gorgeous, but you can't drive it anywhere; you can only look at it and admire it. The museum should build beautiful concert halls that can also be used for concerts, not just for gazing, from inside, at pretty trees outside, through a glass wall.
