A great little credit union that gives the local titan, First Security Bank (owned by Wells Fargo), a run for its money. Serving the needs of TF for over 10 years now, this branch is one of the nicest, focusing on local community needs rather than serving "big brother." Somewhat conservative in lending practices, they are difficult to borrow from, but that means they don't take undo risk and owner/shareholder's have confidence their money is tightly managed. Annual shareholders reports shows consistent growth and the books are well-managed. They don't offer checking accounts, but rely on debit/bill-payer and savings accounts to serve the needs of residents and businesses. Whitefish Credit Union will likely become an even stronger competitor as Wells Fargo and all its affiliate "local" (LOL) bank branches continue their reputation for nickel-diming their customers to death!
