A popular place to dine in Tappahannock, especially with seniors. However, they are overrated and their food is mediocre. Don't expect to eat the best seafood here. DO NOT get the crabcakes, though the red eye ham is good, and their sides are ok. Get the bread pudding if they have it, and make sure you grab one of those green and white, keylime flavored mints on your way out. I usually opt for Los Portales or Romas when dining out in Tappahannock, but if you're going for a touristy atmosphere, Lowery's is old-timey and they even have old cars and a talking bird caged up in there, though the live music they started featuring may make you want to get your food to go.
