Totally worth the time!!! I love this place. For couple of years now I have been doing my hair at Jai's African Hair Braiding, they are very reliable and fast. The place is clean, the people are very nice and friendly. I drive for more than 30 minutes just to get my hair done from here. The best part is, the braids last long all the time. Schedulling appointment is very easy. They are always willing to take people. I would definitely recommend this place..!!

Appointment availability is excellent. I called to confirm appointment for my daughter & was told the sink is broken. I washed & conditioned her natural hair prior to the appointment. When we arrived I observed the place was not clean. Food everywhere. Hair all over the floor. I showed the stylist a pic of the hairdo we wanted. No extensions needed. My daughter's hair is thick and long. I was quoted a price of $80. I asked the sylist to explain the process. She advised because each cornrow will begin at the root and continue to the end. I couldn't believe what I had just heard. As I turned to leave the sylist said ok $60. At the door she said well how much do you have? Totally unprofessional & over priced. I would not recommend this business.

I Loved my hair and the customer service was great. However, I was quoted one price over the phone and then it was a different price when I got there. Just make sure that you are clear on the price before going.

These bad reviews are old, have u guys visited Jais hair braiding lately. everything is change, they are reliable , clean , fast very professional and cm to work on time, plz gv den d benefit of d south n try dem one more tome

Lord its Friday and i really needed to get my hair done only place that i was recommended to was Jai African hair braiding and they really did a great job , bet you i look sexy now for my date i highly recommend this place everybody at the shop is nice and warm welcoming. thanks.

I do not recommend this place. The people are very rude. They also quote a price over the phone, then when you go in to get your haor braided they tell you a price that is $20 more!

I Was referred by a co-worker, excellent doing my daughters and my hair, but loud and obnoxious. Atmosphere dreadful, not the cleanest shop and if you knew any better you though you where in the GHETTO. I have NEVER seen a lack of professionalism in a shop and it reflects on Jai. She does not lead by example I gather because the braiders did not cater in making sure you where ok. Im was not impress at all and leaving the door open when it's hot, not cool at all. They need to focus on better customer service I will not recommend my friend to a shop that lacks character and class. Go at your own risk, but if you like hanging with low grade braiders who lack customer service. I dont care how good you do hair if your service suck. you suck and the atmosphere suck,,,,,,,,, it's worthless nonthing priceless about that place....I called my friend and gave her a piece of my mind. bring a sit cover... if the shop is unorganized and unclean. Im sure you can imagine the restroom

Wow, happy to know we can post comments to places not to go Jai's and Mai's in ybor city. Two major drama queens. I posted on both, they were great friend, but it was all about money, men and lies. They are no longer friends, if these are the type of people that you want. I agree you will get your stomach turned. Im so tired of hearing about Jai's hubby Izak til its sicken. Who cares what hes doing for you all that stress lead you to lose a loved one, Chill out and leave your problems home. Angela and you are made for each other as well as you both cant keep your mouths closed, I hope that getting your shop will help you grow and happy Izak brought you the shop now please be professional its really unlady like.

Excellent braider, excited her husband issac got her the shop, she deserves it, she can be a lil milo dramatic and talks alot of on the phone, but outside of that she does hair exceptional well. I was pleased

bad business, unprofessional, need to learn customer service lacking in that department, talks too much on the phone, went in to get a consultant about my hair and hair prices. owner was a quick talker, more concern with you booking an appointment than the customer needs. I was referred, but highly disapponted

great braider, but doesnt open up on n time

Great braider, use to work with Mai rather a bouncer from shop to shop... very unprofessional, talks too much on the cell about personal business, complains and whines takes to many breaks and talks extremely too much about personal and other staff. If you can position her to stop all if that she would do just fine.
