Supporting successful life transitions...

General Info

Change and stress are constants in life, but there can be times when your coping resources are not enough to handle what life brings. Whether you need support with a life-altering crisis or want new tools to manage the daily challenges that can wear you down over time, you can turn to someone who will work with you to discover the strengths and solutions within yourself to make a positive difference in your life. Working with someone who truly cares to help you explore new approaches, you can develop strategies to better cope with anxiety, depression, family problems, parenting concerns, relationship issues, stress and life changes, grief and loss, personal and professional development, trauma, and ADD/ADHD. In a very comfortable and safe setting, you will be able to take steps today toward a healthier tomorrow. Elizabeth Cooke is a Masters level licensed psychotherapist whose clinical approach aims to address the challenges of life and to provide the tools to help balance the many stresses that everyone faces. With almost twenty years of extensive therapeutic training in both public and private inpatient and outpatient settings, Ms. Cooke is well prepared to support children, adolescents, couples, and families individually and in groups to find real solutions for real problems. Her areas of interest and specialization include: family issues/parenting, couples and relationships, depression/anxiety (including body image and eating issues), ADD/ADHD, impulse control, behavior modification, stress management, positive life and communication skills, life transitions, and personal/professional growth and development. She is a Professional Counselor licensed by the State of Georgia, a National Certified Counselor, and a member in good standing of numerous local, state, and national professional organizations.
