What is an Indoor Hot Tub

There are two types of indoor hot tubs – ones you install inside your house and ones that go in your back yard. Sound contradictory? Indoor hot tubs that belong inside your home are self-explanatory, but you can also find gazebo-style privacy enclosures in which to install a hot tub that is still indoors. Whether you want a hot tub for massage, therapy or just for fun and relaxation, there are several options available. Here we will look some of the different features and aspects of indoor hot tubs.
The biggest advantage to indoor hot tubs is their year-round availability. For someone living in Phoenix, winter temperatures are probably not going to prevent him from using an outdoor hot tub. But for a person in Minneapolis, there are several months during the year where going outside for a soak in the hot tub is just not feasible. In cold-weather climates, an indoor hot tub makes perfect sense.
The size of the indoor hot tub is also a big choice. Many people don’t have the available space that a hot tub requires, including the tub itself and the area around it. A large hot tub, when filled, can weigh more than a ton, so placing it on the second floor of a home may not work either. Using an indoor hot tub may require a small addition to your home to accommodate the space and structural needs.
Purchasing an indoor hot tub is only the first part of the process. You will also need to have it installed by a professional, as there is a good deal of plumbing and electrical work involved. Depending on where you put the hot tub, you may also need to do some flooring work as well to make sure the area is water-proof. The indoor hot tub installation may be included in the purchase price or you may need to find a licensed installer.
Another option for your outdoor hot tub is to use a hot tub gazebo privacy enclosure. If you want the privacy that an indoor hot tub affords but don’t have the space for one in your house, putting a hot tub in an outdoor enclosure is an excellent alternative. A hot tub gazebo will protect your hot tub from the outdoor elements and add a very stylish element to your outdoor living space.
Adding an indoor hot tub to your home or back yard is a major project, but it is one that will enhance your home and lives for years.
