Low Back Pain Causes

There are many factors that cause low back pain. From everyday activities, overexertion during exercise, herniated discs and a host of others. Some of the most common causes of lower back pain include osteoarthritis, fractures and a low back injury.
Low Back Pain Causes
The stressors of everyday life can also factor into low back pain, and if left untreated it could actually develop into something more serious. Let’s review some of the above-mentioned causes of low back pain.
It is safe to say, however, that on average low back pain is caused by some sort of trauma. Whether that trauma is attributed to over use, muscle strain or a muscle injury is usually discerned by a medical professional. What can be said is that the stress of overuse can quickly turn into a detrimental low back pain condition.
Activities or over exertion is another a common cause of low back pain. If you are a dancer or an athlete, or even if you have a job that requires heavy lifting, you can easily and unintentionally injure your back, which would result in lower back pain. Additionally, if you have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis or if you have a fracture, then you would more than likely feel the pangs of lower back pain.
Fortunately, all hope is not lost, because there is a solution to your low back pain problem. The field of chiropractic therapy specializes in low back pain problems. When you meet with a chiropractor, he will initially assess the pain problem that you are suffering from. In this case it will be low back pain. Let’s say for instance that root cause of your low back pain is an injury that you experienced from lifting parcels at work.
After speaking with you, the chiropractor may take a few x-rays to better assess the damage. After that, the chiropractor may put together a treatment plan, and then begin to administer spinal manipulations that result in realigning your back. You may also be given exercises or learn about a healthier diet or sleep schedule as part of your treatment plan. The purpose of both the treatment plan and the spinal manipulation is so that your body can begin to heal itself. The treatment plan will encompass the manipulations as well as both an exercise and nutritional regime.
If you would like to get additional information on how a chiropractor can better treat and alleviate low back pain, consider contacting your state’s board of chiropractic examiners.
