A fitness spa is an increasingly popular destination for those who want to combine a relaxing vacation with a week or two of pampering and luxurious therapies, massage and skin treatments. If you are considering a fitness spa vacation, there are a number of things to bear in mind when you select your destination. Here’s a rundown of the main factors.

Consider your Budget

Possibly the main factor in choosing your fitness spa will be how much you can afford to spend on it. You don’t have to spend loads of money to enjoy a spa vacation but you want to make sure that you get value for money. Most spas offer combinations of treatments so you can design your own individual package. If a week-long spa vacation is out of your range right now then try a shorter and less expensive trip to a day spa. Destination spas usually offer a complete package with a room and meals included. The price range is usually around what you would expect to pay at an upscale hotel.

If you are going to a fitness spa, bear in mind that you will be required to give up caffeine, alcohol and tobacco. You will also be offered a healthful menu without junk food and possibly even completely vegetarian, make sure you are prepared for this before you go.
