What is Chiropractic Wellness?

Chiropractic Wellness can best be described as chiropractic treatment that places emphasis on the overall well being of the patient. A chiropractor is often considered a homeopathic doctor, whose emphasis is on healing or aiding the body in healing joint problems and other afflictions of the nervous systems. Conventional medical techniques may not be used. Instead in order to promote chiropractic wellness, a chiropractor will use their hands in order to manipulate and/or adjust different joint areas of the body. These areas include but are not limited to the spine, knees, neck, legs, and parts of the upper torso. It is the adjustment that is administered by the chiropractor that aids in the improvement of mobility and pain relief.

What is Chiropractor Wellness

The notion of chiropractic wellness was founded in 1895 by a man named Daniel David Palmer in the town of Davenport, Iowa. Initially, his chiropractic practice was known as the School of Cure. Palmer’s premise was that joint pains, headaches, neck aches and the like were the product of an unbalanced nervous system. He believed that the nervous system was the master controller of the human body.

The theory behind chiropractic wellness is to allow the body heal itself, by helping to reduce interference from toxins within the nervous system. A chiropractor will make manual adjustments to the joints in your body. In turn, your body will slowly adapt to the adjustments made by the chiropractor and adopt it’s normal position. Once your body is in its normal position, it will feel no more pain. The goal of chiropractic wellness is not simply to eradicate pain in the body, but also to balance the nervous system while promoting a better, more healthy lifestyle.

The body cannot totally benefit from a chiropractic wellness plan if you are not engaging in a healthy lifestyle. A chiropractic wellness plan can include eating right, exercising, and mental clearing in addition to getting regular adjustments from a chiropractor, you will be better equipped to handle any health problems prior to their onset. Additionally, you may have a better more healthier outlet for your pain.

A chiropractic wellness program will work to alleviate headaches, neck aches, back problems and joint problems. It will also give you a nice alternative to ingesting prescription pain relievers. The idea is that the body can heal itself, as long as there are no interferences. An interference can contribute to the problem instead of solving it. Interferences include, poor diet, lack of exercise, overall negative lifestyle, and strong reliance on both over-the-counter and prescription medications.
