Founded in 1979, Merit Resource Services is a private, nonprofit organization that provides alcohol and drug counseling services. It maintains offices in Yakima, Wapato, Toppenish and Sunnyside in Washington. The organization offers a range of treatment, assessment and case management solutions. Merit Resource Services administers intensive outpatient, relapse prevention, and student and employee assistance programs. It also provides information and referral services. The organization offers on-campus educational and counseling solutions to students in the Wapato School District and the Highland School District. In addition, Merit Resource Services conducts drug court and family programs. It is certified by the Washington State Department of Health and Social Services.
