We have 10 cats, and we foster and rescue. Dr. Gerard is the ONLY vet in town that really understands them and handles them with compassion. I have taken many friends to him over the years, and they are always impressed by his manner with their pets and the care with which he explains things. He is not the cheapest vet, but he has many times fixed the mess that the cheapest vet left my animal in. He gets it right the first time which SAVES you money in the long run. I ended up with Dr. Gerard after going to him for a second opinion about a decade ago. My cat had urinary tract infection symptoms and had been going to another vet...spent nearly $1000 in that office with no resolution, was asked to consent to a $2500 surgery. Rather than jump so hastily, I called Dr. Gerard at the recommendation of a friend and he saw my pet right away. $190 later...my cat was cured. He is also exceptional with senior and geriatric pets. Dr. Gerard is a great veterinarian because he is caring and compassionate with all of our pets and always takes the time to answer our questons no matter how many we may have. He calls us on the weekends, he calls at night or after our pet has been hospitalized to check on our pets to see how they are doing just because he cares about them. Dr. Gerard has a professional appearance (he wears a white lab coat and tie), has a real clean hospital and a friendly and caring staff that really spoils my pets when they come in to see the doctor. I will definitaley refer him to anyone who wants quality care for their 4 legged furry babies. If your pets is sick this is where you need to go.
