Big Blue Pools and Spas in Stony Brook exceeded my expectations in every way. I was looking for a heat pump and filter installation. I contacted four other local companies. One gave me an estimate over the phone using “Google Earth”. He didn’t even want to come to my house to look. His price was the highest. Another guy showed up in the work van from “his other job”. Every other word out of that guys mouth was…”This is going to be a problem, but it’s will only cost you a little extra”…Another company quoted me a ridiculous price and told me they would be by in four weeks. If you added up the cost of all of the parts I was buying and subtracted it from these guys’ quotes, it was obvious they were all trying to take advantage of me…and providing me with poor service.

When Mike from Big Blue Pools and Spas in Stony Brook showed up, I honestly expected another disappointment. To my surprise, he was professional, knowledgeable, confident, and his prices were reasonable. He took his time answering all of my questions. Also, as we talked, I noticed a few smaller things that needed to be fixed…He wrote everything down and gave me a date 9 days out. Big Blue Pools showed up on time and got everything perfect as promised.

A few weeks later, my pump went. It was the only part I didn’t replace because I wanted to see if I could get by for one more season. I called Big Blue Pools on a Saturday to see what they could do. They got someone to my house the next day…on a Sunday….and installed a new pump. That saved me a week of agony watching my pool turn green during a heat wave. I was not charged any more than I would have been if it were a normal job.

I will be using Big Blue Pools and Spas in Stony Brook for all of my pool needs going forward. Getting a good pool guy is frustrating as there are so many poor companies out there. If you want a solid company to take care of your pool…use these guys…

This pool company is terrible, they were late, they were unprofessional, they were dirty and rude, the owner MIKE is the worst , very rude and unprofessional.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, KEEP LOOKING....
