General Info

We incorporate the State and School Standards: Art History/Culture,Criticism, Aesthetics and Art Production into our Art Lessons. Our learning objectives are: Understanding Art; Creating Art; Appreciating Art; Art Vocabulary. Guided Teaching focus on: Looking and Thinking and Making Art. We make the learning of art enjoyable as well as meeting the needs of parents. We teach basic concepts and techniques while we do our best to nurture creativity through experimentation, reflection, and exploration. Our Curriculum include art activities that students love. We offer both individual sessions, Six week sessions, a Spring Break ART CAMP and would like to start a Saturday class.Six Week Series:Foundations of ArtElements of ArtElements of DesignSports ArtHow Artists "See" FeelingsLet's Meet the Artists and more....We introduce our students to area galleries, where they may grow, learn of, and appreciate even more Alaskan Art. Associations

We work with Area HOME SCHOOLS like "CONNECTIONS" and "I.D.E.A." as well as agencies. We accept private students and groups. We are expanding our age groups on an individual bases according to what they want to learn or work on with regard to Fine Art. It is our intention to support art and culture programs such as the KFAC Annual Student Art Show, (held in November/December) as well as other art programs that come to our attention. With the support of KFAC, area sponsors, KPBSD, grants and individuals, our goal is to provide scholarship opportunities.
