Washington State Guide


Located in the Pacific Northwest, Washington is the only state named after a U.S. president. Jointly occupied by Britian and the U.S. until the Oregon Treaty of 1846. The Washington Territory was formed in 1853, and the state was admitted to the union in 1889.
