The company s nitrogen oxide (NOx) reduction processes, which include the NOxOUT, NOxOUT CASCADE, NOxOUT ULTRA, Rich Reagent Injection and NOxOUT-SCR technologies, have established Fuel Tech as a leader in post-combustion NOx control systems, which are in use on more than 350 units worldwide. In addition, the company s FUEL CHEM technology, which includes the Targeted In-Furnace Injection process, revolves around the unique application of specialty chemicals to improve the performance of combustion units by controlling slagging, fouling, corrosion and opacity. FUEL CHEM products are being applied to more than 80 combustion units that burn a wide variety of fuels, including coal, heavy oil, biomass and municipal waste. Incorporated in 1987, Fuel Tech has more than 100 employees. The company maintains its corporate headquarters in Stamford, Conn., and operational headquarters in Batavia, Ill.
